Unity…

This past weekend we had a wonderful time at Briar Ridge.  It was a special time with some awesome kids.  We ended up with 14 children, and a great time was had by all.  Bro. Emory May brought the messages, and he definitely shared God’s word.  We learned a lot about our Savior Jesus Christ.  We also learned that we can look around and see God in the smallest of things if we just open our eyes and our hearts to Him.

On the hunting side of things we had 4 great hunts, and 3 kills.  Lots of deer were seen, and I think all the kids had a blast.  As I sat at the camp, without anyone for me to mentor I sat and thought of what a blessing it is to be a part of God’s plan.  And that is where my blog begins this week.

God has a beautiful master plan, we can read about it in the Bible.  But in that plan, if you could read the footnotes and instructions in small writing, you would see your story and mine.  You see God has a plan for each of us, and each of us work together to bring about his masterpiece.  With so many people coming through our ministry it would be hard for God to work if we didn’t all have the mind of Christ.  We are looking for God to do miracles in the lives of the children and the adults each week.  We are all their for His purpose.  We put aside any differences, all doctrines and look to Christ to lead the weekend.

It’s amazing to see what God can accomplish if we let Him have his way in all that we are doing.  We’re not worried about how many we have, we are definitely not worried about who we have, but we are worried about how Christ is moving in each of our lives.  Putting God’s will first guarantees a great outcome.  And I am so glad that the men, women, and children that come to Briar Ridge realize what we are all about.  We love the hunt, but finding Jesus is the most important thing.

After the weekend was over and everything was cleaned up we were blessed to attend the baptism of three beautiful young people that have been to Briar Ridge this year.  We are so thankful they are planted in a church body and we got to be a small part of God’s plan in their lives.  I pray God’s blessings on each of those children, and also on you.  As Christmas day approaches I ask that you think back to the day that our Savior came to earth.  Remember that He left Heaven just for us.  He loves you with an everlasting love.  If you need prayer or know anyone that needs our ministry just let us know.

Love in Christ,

Briar Ridge
