Last Hunt of 2018

We just finished out 2018 with a bang. We had our final weekend with 14 children. It was a wonderful weekend with a brand new group. We all were blessed with making new friends and meeting new brothers and sisters in Christ. The pastor for the weekend had to back out at the last moment and we pray that he is feeling better. We had three men share God’s word and one to share his testimony.

It was a great weekend hunting with 5 bucks down. Two were first kills and everyone had a good time. We had two to make the decision for Christ to be Lord of their life and that is the best thing that happened. I am amazed at what God is doing at Briar Ridge.

Since September we have been blessed to meet a lot of new people, and for Briar Ridge its been a completely different year. Our third year has started out with so much success, and it is only through Christ that we are reaping these benefits. Every weekend has went so smoothly. No fretting about how many kids we will have, or if our mentors will minister in the box stands. We haven’t had to worry about the ministers for the weekend. It’s a blessing to have turned our worries and cares over to Christ. To have a peace about everything is a true blessing.

It’s not that their hasn’t been moments of worry, but knowing that God will take care of the problems better than we could imagine helps us find a peace that surpasses all understanding. But it’s not only the weekends that have went smoothly, we have made so many new friendships. It’s as though God has orchestrated who would be there each weekend. He has a plan and we are pleased to be a part of it.

On top of that, we have seen 15 people come to Christ. We’ve watched baptisms and plan to go to a few more this year. It’s as though the Windows of Heaven have been opened and God’s blessings are pouring into our lives. I pray that you have gotten to experience this with us, or if you would like to be a part please let us know. We are looking for new sponsors this year as well as those that will join with us in prayer. For more information on our Ministry or if you would like us to speak at your church feel free to contact us.

And now, for the blog. This weekend humbled me. I stepped back and got to see God move with His quiet still voice. I was reminded that a testimony is one of the best tools that God has given us to reach others. My question to you is when was the last time you shared your testimony. Sometimes we don’t think our testimony is powerful enough to make a difference. Others are embarrassed by things they have done. But, I am here to tell you, your experiences can help others. We have all made decisions we want to steer others away from. I pray that God will lead and direct you into situations where you can use your testimony for God to change lives. He has a plan, and I hope you are following his directions.

Once again I offer an invitation, if you need us to pray with you or for you just let us know. We are here to serve.

Love in Christ,

Briar Ridge
