Who is in your circle?

It was wonderful, completely busy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We had 22 kids and that put us around 45 at the camp house last weekend.

We ended up having 2 deer taken, with one of those being a first kill. The kids were wonderful and the family was great. The messages were centered on salvation and the people we surround ourselves with. And one of the messages is probably one all of us need to hear. Bro John brought a message Saturday evening which was very demonstrative and I would like to share a little of it now.

He talked about the influences of those around us, this message was important not only for the kids at camp but also for the adults. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:33 – Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for ‘bad company corrupts good character.’ Those we choose to be around makes a huge impact on the way we live, our speech, our morals, well pretty much our whole lives. Bro John stood on a chair and asked the kids if it would be easier for one of them to pull him off the chair, or for him to pull the kid up. The answer is obviously to pull him down. So it goes with the ones that surround us. We always think we can change those around us by being that good influence. And I assure you, we definitely need to be that influence. But, if we find ourselves in the wrong situations, or in environments that we shouldn’t be in, we should definitely walk out of those. Be the light to those around you, but surround yourself with others that are like minded. The body of Christ lifts each other up, we are supposed to support and encourage each other.

I ask that you look at those around you and see if you are surrounded by people that help you in your walk with Christ. Do those around you influence you to be your best for Christ, or tell you that it’s not that big of a deal. I assure you our daily decisions are the most important part of our Christian walk. We choose daily how we will spend our time and money. So are we choosing to do well with what God has given us, is He a priority or an afterthought. Choose wisely my friends, put Him first in all things. As the Psalms 37 says, trust Him and He will take make sure your life ends well.

If you need prayer or know someone who needs our ministry please feel free to let us know.
