Going to see the Savior…

This last ministry weekend of 2022 went very well. We ended up with about 10 youth and close to 20 overall. We had a group out of Bogue Chitto come up and it’s always good to spend some time with them.

The messages were brought by a couple of our board members and one of the mentors this weekend. We appreciate the men and women who give up their weekends to spend the time at camp with us.

This weekend we were reminded that life is short, and we never know when we will be called home. The question was asked, if we are more like the shepherds that came to see Jesus after He was born, or more like the wise men we read about in the Bible. You see both of these groups of men met the Savior, but the Bible specifically says that the shepherds went and told everyone about what they had seen and experienced. The story is not the same for the Wise men, the Bible only says they went back to their own country. So how has meeting Jesus affected your life? I’m not saying the Wise Men weren’t changed, but the Bible tells us the Shepherds told everyone. Are you sharing the good news of Christ? Or after meeting Him, are you just going on your way? I pray that He has changed your life and gave you a boldness to share His message, and if you haven’t been sharing today is a good day to start.

The last couple of weekends have been great at the ministry. We’ve been blessed to see a lot of deer, but haven’t had the opportunity to take many. But this is a reminder that this ministry isn’t all about the hunt for deer, but more importantly it’s about the hunt for Christ in our lives. I hope he has found a place in your heart this Christmas season, don’t be like the inn keeper that didn’t have room for Him that first Christmas so very long ago. Make room for Him today!

We pray you have a very Merry Christmas and Thank God for His blessings on the ministry and our lives. If you need anything let us know, and if you know of anyone that needs our ministry please reach out to us
