We are so excited to be able to say that we at Briar Ridge have paid for our lease for the year. It is with the help of generous contributions that we survive and are able to minister to children.
In June, we did a fishing tournament that truly was a blessing. We got to spend the day with all of our board members and also had a great time meeting fisherman from all over the state.
We are hoping to start a new campaign soon to raise funds for the 2017-2018 deer hunting season. A lot of work has to be done to get our food plots ready, and we are hoping to add a couple more. We have had a couple of box stands blow over and pull trailer anchors out so we will also have to repair them. We are looking for suggestions on whether it would be a better ideal to ask our wonderful donors to sponsor a food plot, or maybe asking that individuals sponsor the campers.
Last deer season we brought 150 children through our camp and we are hoping to do at least that many this coming year. Although we don’t charge for campers or mentors to come to our camp it does cost the ministry. With our regular day to day operational cost, we add the cost of groceries and an increase in bills. We pray that we can always offer our services and ministry to any and all who want to come, but at this moment we are hoping to get suggestions from all of you.
